(Geranium procurrens x Geranium psilostemon)
Similar to Geranium 'Ann Folkard' with golden foliage and magenta flowers but more compact. 50cm. Sun or light shade, ordinary soil.
For those who do find that Geranium 'Ann Folkard' is just too gangly, 'Anne Thomson' is just the ticket. It really is almost identical except in the length of the flowering stems which spread to little more than 90cm (3') compared to nearly double that for the better known 'Ann Folkard'. This makes Geranium 'Anne Thomson' a much easier plant to use in the garden as it fits into the border with less trouble. It is an ideal companion to some of the blue flowered Geranium hybrids like 'Blue Cloud' and 'Brookside' too.
An easy going, tough and long lived hybrid, 'Anne Thomson' does best in full sun in an ordinary soil.
Raised by Alan Bremner and released c. 1992.
