A new selection making low mounds of deep chocolate brown leaves and masses of white flowers in summer. Hardier than many similar types. Drained soil in full sun. 10cm.
Along with Geranium Orkney Cherry 'Bremerry' we have found that this is one of the most reliable brown leafed Hardy Geraniums to grow outside. It does need full sun and good drainage but other than that we find that it is perfectly hardy here having survived very cold winters on a slightly raised bed with no protection at all.
Neat clumps of dark chocolatey brown foliage producing short stems of white flowers for much of the summer. If you have the time to deadhead then it will flower from May until the frosts in autumn. The leaves change colour according to the temperature and speed of growth; in winter they are darker brown, in summer more purple-green, bronzey at times.
