Mauve-pink flowers from late spring to early summer over a low spreading carpet of evergreen leaves, use around medium-sized perennials or grasses. Any drained soil in sun or light shade, 20cm.

One of the earliest cultivated forms of this hybrid species this is very similar to the older 'Cambridge' with it's modest sized pink flowers from April to June, 15-20cm tall.  A good, reliable, evergreen groundcover with autumn/winter coloured foliage that is replaced by fresh green leaves in the spring.

Excellent for low groundcover under shrubs and trees or edging borders and paths.  Drought tolerant once established.

Raised by Ernst Pagels in Germany in 1986, a name more commonly associated with ornamental grasses especially Miscanthus.
