How to Order

Click on the Buy Now links in our catalogue pages to add plants to your cart, you can change the quantities in the cart at any time, always click Recalculate after changing quantities.  Click Continue Shopping to get back to the page you came from (clicking Back tends to break the cart!)

If you wish to delete a plant, change the quantity to 0 and click Recalculate. When you are done simply click View Cart and follow the instructions to enter your details and place your order.  You may pay online with Debit/Credit cards or by posting a cheque (wait for a “total amount due” email before posting cheques please). Cards will be processed when your order is packed. We now require the card security number (3 digits) from the back of your card.  Please enter this in the box with the other details.

You should receive an email receipt shortly after placing your order (this is automated), we will also email to say when your order is sent. Make certain you give us your correct email address - we can’t if you don’t! Recently we have been having difficulty sending email to MSN and Hotmail addresses, if you use one of these please check your Spam/Junk folder or consider giving us an email address with a different provider.

Please print and keep a copy of your order receipt.

Delivery

All deliveries will need signing for unless you give other instructions when ordering.  Orders left without a signature are at your risk.

Most orders are despatched within 10 days, but please allow 30 days before asking (we are probably busy at shows or the weather isn’t right). We do not despatch in late December or early January, or if the weather is very hot/cold.  There is no point in sending your order quickly if the plants suffer during transit.

For Mainland UK our standard delivery takes 2 days after collection from us, this can be upgraded to next day for an extra cost - see P&P Rates for details. The Highlands and Islands of Scotland and some other areas may take a day longer, check www.parcelforce.com for details.

Minimum Order Value

The minimum order value for the UK is £15.00 plus P&P.

The minimum order value for the rest of the EU is £30.00 plus P&P.

Availability and Substitutes

Not all plants are available all of the time.  Due to the nature and size of our business it is not possible to keep this website up to date with regard to availability.

If we are out of stock of the size listed we may substitute for another size, if available.  We will not supply alternative varieties unless you ask us to, by requesting “similar substitutes”, with your order.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers may be purchased only via the website and may only be redeemed via the website at present. We will email the voucher code to the recipient and they will need to enter it into the checkout when completing an order. You may like to tell the recipient what you have done so that they are expecting the email which may take a day or so to arrive.

Gift Vouchers may be used for part or full payment of an order, in the case of the voucher value being higher than the order total no change will be given. Please note that if you choose to pay by cheque then the cheque will have to clear before we issue the Gift Voucher.

Security

The pages handling your Debit/Credit card details are SSL-secured (you can tell because the web address at the top of your screen begins https:// and you will see a locked padlock symbol at the bottom of your screen) and stored for us on a secure database.  All card details are now handled by Protx (a division of Sage, the accounts people) to make it easier for us to comply with the ever increasing security requirements.

Privacy

We will not disclose your details to third parties other than when your order is processed; the courier needs you address and phone number!. They will not disclose any of the information to any other third party.

A Cookie is used to store your details (on your computer) if you select the Store your details Option in the cart. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you block cookies, you may not be able to place orders or benefit from other features that use cookies on any website.

Cancellation and Returns Policies

You may cancel your order at any time up until we pack your plants. Please phone/email and write to cancel an order. Contact Us

Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have the right to return goods. As plants are perishable in transit we do not consider that this right applies to orders placed with us.  See http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm for full details.

Complaints

If you have a complaint then please let us know immediately. If plants arrive in a damaged condition then we need to be told, in writing, within five days.  Please save all packaging and note the time and date of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by the deliverer or failure of the plants due to incorrect care or adverse weather after despatch.

VAT

We are not registered for VAT.
