We take our photographs with a Canon EOS 5D MkII (used to use a Canon EOS 350D and before that a Canon A40) digital camera and now use a Sigma 70mm macro for most plants, the majority of them at maximum resolution. This gives us master photos at a high enough resolution to print at A3 size or even A2 with no loss of detail.

The photos used on the catalogue pages of this site are cropped and resized to 100 pixels in width and about that in height and reduced to a fraction of the original resolution. This gives you a fast download time and still maintains a reasonable image.

If you would like a larger photograph of any plant pictured on the site, we can email you something like the one below. This is still at a reduced resolution but larger. If you would like to use any of our photographs for magazines, books or publicity/sales use then we can supply full resolution images on CD-R. We charge £25 per image per use (ie one issue of a magazine or one month on your website). We also require full acknowledgment of origin and our copyright statement.
