(Geranium gracile x Geranium renardii)
Alan Bremner's attractive hybrid has textured leaves resembling G. renardii, but larger. Dainty lilac-pink flowers in summer. Reasonable soil in a drained, sunny position. 45cm.
Geranium 'Chantilly' is one of Alan's hybrids that attracts a variety of comments from growers, not all of them complimentary! We find that it is a good doer, suitable for the front of the border, tolerates quite dry, sunny positions better than some other Geraniums and does put on a good show of flower in a well drained site. It is a little prone to not flowering well if overfed or in any shade.
Unusual foliage, the conflict from its glossy leafed and felted leafed parents give it an almost rugose leaf. The leaves are often tinted with ruby red around the edges at any time of year.
