(Geranium x oxonianum x Geranium psilostemon)
Soft magenta flowers, deeper than 'Patricia' with separated petals, dark centre. All summer. 60cm. Average soil in sun. A good clump former, tending to be a bit tidier than both it's parents.
Geranium 'Nicola' is an ideal plant for gardens where the size of Geranium psilostemon would just be a bit too much. The flowers do tend to be a bit windmill like as you can see in the photo but this can be a good thing as it makes the plant look more dainty than the very overlapped flowers on varieties like 'Ivan' and 'Dragon Heart'. 'Nicola' makes a lovely combination with the light sky blue flowers of Geranium 'Blue Cloud'.
A reliable, hardy, cultivar for ordinary soil in full sun. Reasonable drainage is appreciated bearing in mind that Geranium psilostemon is one of it's parents.
