A neat growing form with rosy-pink flowers in summer on low mounds of mid-green foliage. Drained soil in sun. 15cm.

Unfortunately 'Compactum' is one of those names with more than one plant attached - we have seen some very un-compact plants being sold under this name!

Our stock is reasonably compact but not as tight and low growing as some others such as Geranium sanguineum 'Holden' or 'Little Bead'.  It will make an excellent plant for the front of a border or a larger rockery in a mostly sunny position with drained soil.

Of unknown origin and it seems likely that it may have been grown from seed at some time leading to the variable plants some nurseries sell.
