Pretty mauve pink flowers on this very low-growing form to 15cm. One of the most compact forms ideal for rockeries or the front of borders. Drained soil in sun or part shade.

If you only look at a photo of the flower of Geranium sanguineum 'Holden' you would be forgiven for passing it by and looking for something more interesting but when you see a plant in front of you it's real charm and usefulness are immediately apparent.  When grown in a container 'Holden' grows more or less flat to the top and then leans over the side making a very low growing plant indeed.  In the ground it will make a bigger but still neat and tidy plant.

Excellent for growing in gaps in paving or other similar places and 'Holden' would also be great for the modern crevice style alpine beds.

c. 1972, Holden Clough. Syn Geranium sanguineum 'Holden's Form' or Geranium sanguineum 'Holden's Variety'.
