(Geranium gracile x Geranium ibericum)

A unique shade of luminous mauve pink all summer. Large delectable flowers on this recent hybrid which deserves a reasonable soil, not too dry. 40cm.

Despite having Geranium gracile as one of it's parents (which prefers good soil in shade), this is a good plant to use in sunny places at the front of the border like you would use Geranium renardii, or slightly further back with shorter plants in front.  A good display of fairly large flowers from mid-May for several weeks, continuing till autumn if the weather is not too hot and dry.

Raised by Hans Simon in Germany, c. 1992.

syn. Geranium 'Syrak'.  The same cross was done by Alan Bremner and for a while his plants were sold labelled as Geranium 'Sirak', however at the Royal Horticultural Society trial in 2004 his plants proved to be more compact and were subsequently named Geranium 'Karis'.
