AGM TENDER Stunning grass with wide, pleated foliage to 60cm and tall arching flower stems to 1.2m. Best grown in a big pot and taken into frost-free for the winter.

An excellent choice for conservatories and frost-free greenhouses as a foliage plant amongst flowers.  Setaria palmifolia might be hardy enough to plant in warm sheltered places in the south-west and in city centres.

Mind the bristly hairs at the base - they are itchy!
