Neat clumps of semi-evergreen leaves and arching stems of ivory coloured flowers and seeds from mid spring. Decent soil in shade for the best effect. Typically to 30cm.

A hardy British native grass from woodland clearings and edges, the usual form quite common along tracks and roads going through broadleaf woodland in the UK.

This white flowered form is the most commonly grown with it's very attractive, long lasting flowers and seeds which show up well in shady places.  It does not perform well in dry places unfortunately.

Native to most of Europe and some of the near east.
