A small clump of incredibly ferny dark green leaves produces a head of snowy white flowers to 40cm. Drained soil in sun. Rare native.

One of the umbellifers that is worth growing as much for it's foliage as it's flowers, not forgetting the seedheads too! Ideal at the front of the border or on a larger rockery. TIghtly clump forming from a branched tap root.

Relatively short lived in our experience so either allow it to self seed in some bare soil or gravel or collect a few seeds and sow them to maintain it.

British native. Spignel.
