A modern variety with soft flowers of buff-yellow with faint pinkish red tints, "fades" to pink. Drained soil in sun. 75cm.

As with many of the modern, soft, pastel coloured Achillea this variety always proves hard to describe with the exact colur changing with each day and different light conditions!  Clumps of ferny green leaves send up wiry flower stems from early summer potentially until late autumn.  A hard prune after the first flush of flower is often rewarded with better September flowers than if you leave it alone.

Ideal for relatively impoverished soil in full sun, good drainage is essential.  As with most Achillea too much food or water will result in an excess of leafy growth and floppy flower stems, and ultimately they can rot off.  Look at where they grow in the wild, in short grass on roadside verges, banks etc for inspiration on where to use in the garden.  It is worth digging the whole plant up, dividing and replanting every 3-4 years.
