A rare shrubby species from the Himalaya into south western China. Slightly mealy foliage and heads of pinkish blue flowers from midsummer to late autumn. 1.8m.
Upright, branching shrubby growth with smallish heads of flowers produced from midsummer until the first frosts of autumn/winter. Many forms seem to have near white flowers but our form has distinctive flowers with a cobalt tint, particularly as the temperature cools down in the autumn.
Should be perfectly hardy in most of the UK but I'd suggest placing it out of cold wind to prevent the evergreen leaves getting scorched.
From Kashmir, Myanmar and China.
