The beautiful white flowered form of this hardy Begonia. Light green leaves with red veined and flushed backs. Flowers in late summer and autumn to 60cm. Best in light or part shade in drained soil. Totally deciduous and will collapse with the first frost of autumn, re-emerging the following spring. Hardy to at least -12C in Norfolk.
From China where it's been cultivated for hundreds of years because of it's hardiness. Introduced to Japan in the 17th Century and then to Europe in the early 19th Century. The only species of Begonia truly hardy in the UK.
