Clumps of bright green, rounded, leaves and strong stems carrying dense heads of greenish white flowers in late spring and summer. Attractive seedheads later. Average soil in shade. 1m.
Related to Tellima and Heuchera, this woodland plant seems a bit more persistant due to it's patch forming habit. Not spreading or invasive but it does make a decent plant relatively quickly.
The basal foliage is semi-evergreen here but as spring progresses a lusher clump of rounded foliage will appear. The individual flowers are tiny (typical Saxifragaceae) but the heads make a distinct feature and as they go to seed they persist well into at least early autumn.
From a limited area of California, USA in damp shaded areas. We have no problem with hardiness here.
