A low growing woodlander from the eastern USA with finely cut foliage and arching heads of light pink flowers. Originally grown from wild collected seed then divided. 25cm.
Dicentra eximia is a little more delicate looking than it's western American cousin Dicentra formosa but grows just as well, if a little slower provided it has a good soil in shade. Preferring a humous rich soil that doesn't dry out too much in summer, nor get too wet in winter!
From the Appalachian Moutains, USA.
