Very slender vines clad with pale green leaves twine their way up and produce masses of tubular cream flowers all summer and into autumn. Herbaceous tuber. Hardy in drained soils, full sun. 2m.
Often sold as a seed raised annual the normal bright yellow, orange or red Chilean Glory vine has a lovely subtle creamy yellow cousin. Although sold as an annual and touted as being tender, Eccremocarpus 'Tresco Cream' is definitely perennial and should be hardy in most of the UK given good drainage and a mulch of compost or bark (or something else similar). If you wish it can be grown successfully in a pot and taken inside for the winter - just plan a good support for it!
