A real star for spring flowers in a shady border. Clumps of fresh green leaves and masses of light yellow flowers to 30cm.
One of the most asked about (and begged for!) plants in our spring border, Geum 'Herterton Primrose' makes a lovely display for several weeks from mid spring into early summer with flowers that are that perect shade of yellow, pale enough to match with almost anything but not wishy-washy! A great combination with Anthriscus sylvestris 'Going for Gold' and blue Pulmonaria and Symphytum.
Tolerant of a wide range of soils but does well for us in good but drained soil in shade under deciduous trees so it gets sun in winter and spring.
