Luminous soft orange buds open to equally soft yellow flowers in relatively dense heads to 1m over from August into winter. Drained soil in full sun. Collected by John Grimshaw.
Having lost the more common Kniphofia thomsonii more than once I am glad to say that 'Kichocheo' seems to be hardier and more robust though I would still advise a good mulch of bark or similar in late autumn to protect the rootstock.
