A rare species with pale green strappy leaves and slender spikes, in late summer, of pinkish mauve flowers to 25cm. Decent soil in shade.

A different type of plant to the more familiar Liriope muscari forms, this species makes an open patch of interlocking, long narrow leaves and light spires of flowers from August into October.  As with other Liriope it is best grown in a good soil in at least some shade, leafy soil under deciduous trees or shrubs would be ideal as long as it doesn't dry out too much in the summer.

From over 15 years growing it in Norfolk it appears that Liriope koreana is somewhat hardier and more weather tolerant than Liriope muscari.
