An extremely small form of this Japanese plant with heart shaped green leaves and sprays of creamy white flowers in spring to 5-10cm. For decent soil in shade that doesn't dry out too much. Slower than the normal form.
This is a lovely choice form of an already very nice woodlander that can provide a very low, slow groundcover between more upright plants in a shady bed. Like many similar plants it may spend it's first year or two growing roots before you see much additional growth above ground.
Best grown in a typical woodland soil that holds moisture but doesn't get waterlogged, under deciduous shrubs or trees, or on the north side of a wall or fence.
From Yakushima (or maybe Kyushu), Japan.
