Clumps of upright stems clad with distinct triangular leaves and topped with spires of violet-purple flowers with white lips speckled with deep purple. 80cm. Drained, good soil in sun.
Rarely seen but and excellent, choice species with showy flowers of an unusual clear blue-purple. I find it spicy scented on warm sunny days but not everyone can smell it!
From high in the mountains of north west China it doesn't like wet winters so grow it in well drained soil.
Syn. Dracocephalum stewartianum.
