A wonderful, unusual species for the sunny border. A largish clump of stems to 1m topped with a good spike of purplish blue flowers from May till September. Drained soil in sun.
Delightful, scented flowers of a good size over a long season make this a good choice for a sunny border in most soils. As an added benfit Nepeta yunnanensis makes an excellent cut flower!
Nepeta yunnanensis can start to spread on light, sandy soils but is very shallow rooting so easy to control. It is more clumping on better soils.
