A striking species with greyish green leaves and lots of large creamy bells with jade tips below the arching stems in late spring and early summer.  Good, drained, soil in shade.  75cm.

Although Polygonatum filipes isn't that tall, it always has the look of a big plant so it's ideal if you are looking to create a lush or tropical look with totally hardy plants.  Best grown under deciduous trees or on the shady side of a wall or fence where it will get moisture in the winter and can then tolerate drying out in the summer.
