An interesting little hybrid Saxifrage naturally occurring in the Pyrenees. Evergreen, dentate, deep green, leaves and sprays of pretty white flowers on reddish stems to 20cm. Moist soil in shade.
A neat and tidy plant well suited to a shady rockery or trough, or just the edge of a shady border. A rather unfortunate name that has some people thinking it's a hybrid between a Saxifraga and a Geum but it's actually Saxifraga umbrosa x S. hirsuta.
