AGM Quite unlike the common Goldenrods, this low growing, bushy plant is topped with sprays of fluffy lemon yellow flowers in summer and autumn. Ordinary soil in sun. 60cm.
An unusual plant and one that often has quite knowledgeable gardeners stumped as to it's identity! This is a very useful, well behaved plant ideal for mixing with grasses and other late summer flowering perennials to provide that sought after pale yellow colour that goes with almost any other colour. Typically starts flowering in July and can continue until the frosts, especially if you are picking it for the house!
Solidago x luteus 'Lemore' is a good cut flower and can be dried too.
Will grow in a wide range of conditions, even some shade, but is best in decent soil in sun.
Formerly called X Solidaster luteus 'Lemore' as it was thought to be a hybrid between an Aster and a Solidago, but the Aster is actually a Solidago! Solidago ptarmicoides x S. canadensis.
From North America.
Solidago rigida ssp humilis£4.50
