An unusual relative of Lily of the Valley, this has evergreen, broad, strappy leaves and sends up plenty of spikes of scented starry white flowers in spring. Forms a patch. Good leafy soil in shade. 25cm.
Often called the evergreen lily of the valley, this woodlander probably has more showy flowers than those but less scent! The leaves make a good edge to borders in shady places with the sprays of light flowers an added bonus. Very evergreen unless grown in an exposed position and rarely troubled by things eating it.
Formerly known as Speirantha convallarioides.
