A rather shorter form with rich violet purple flowers in autumn. Mildew free in reasonable soil in full sun. 90cm.
As with all the New England asters, 'Helen Picton' is at it's best in a good soil that doesn't dry out, a drought or dry conditions will allow some mildew.
From National Plant Collection® Holder Paul Picton, this variety named for his daughter.
