Clumps of finely divided foliage and fluffy pink purple flowers on upright stems to 1.2m in early summer. Best in good soil, not dry.
An excellent selection of the traditional cottage garden favourite, Thalictrum aquilegifolium (leaves like an Aquilegia). Like many meadow rues, 'Thundercloud' will do best in a rich fertile soil that doesn't dry out in sun, but is very forgiving and as long as your position isn't very dry it will probably grow, even in shade.
Syn. Thalictrum aquilegifolium 'Purple Cloud'
