An excellent mat forming thyme with deep green leaves and bright purplish pink flowers from reddish calyces providing a good display for weeks in summer. Trim after flowering. 5cm.
We have found 'Caborn Wine and Roses' to be a valuable plant to edge borders and fill in gaps between clump forming, more upright, ornamental grasses and herbaceous perennials. Unlike many thymes this cultivar has good staying power in the garden as long as it has full sun and well drained soil.
Introduced by the National Plant Collection Holder of Thyme in 2007.
