Slowly spreading clumps produce elegant spires of faded demin blue flowers with darker blue markings in spring. Lovely with bright orange geums! Ordinary soil in sun or part shade, to 50cm.
A classic cottage garden flower, this pale blue form fits really well in both traditional and modern gardens. The patches are ideal at the front of the border or weaving their way amongst taller plants further back. As with many similar plants it's probably best to dig and split every few years, especially if you have a really fertile soil.
