Very different to other the common Veronicastrum virginicum, this species is semi-evergreen and trails! The foliage is bronzed and the stems produce branched spikes of lavender blue flowers in summer. 15cm tall, 1m spread.
Probably best grown to trail over the edge of a raised bed or bank, or perhaps grow it in a container. Seems to be happiest here with a little shade and a soil that doesn't dry out.
Collected in Sichuan, China.
