Bright white randomly striped leaves on this hardy Japanese ginger relative. Pale yellow flowers in autumn, at ground level. 90cm. Part/light shade, good soil.
One of the hardiest gingers to grow in the UK, this should be fine planted in a drained soil in at least some shade. Mulch with bark chips or similar to insulate the roots but it probably doesn't even need that!
Syn. Zingiber mioga 'Nakafu'
From Japanese nursery Gotember.
