A stunning rarity with dark purply bronze leaves that hold their colour well as the white flowers emerge and "fade" to pink. Good, drained soil in light or part shade. 15cm.
There are a few dark leafed forms of our native wood anemone, but 'Dark Leaf' has proved to be the best we've tried with a good colour in foliage and flower as well as being reasonably vigorous so it doesn't disappear on you like some others do!
For the best leaf colour a little more sun helps and like all forms of Anemone nemorosa it is fine to plant it under deciduous woody plants so that it is in full sun in the spring but gets more shade later.
