A stunning form with ragged semi-double white flowers merging into a ring of green bracts. Often pink tinged in the centre. Good woodsy soil in shade. 15cm.

We find that the flower size, shape and structure improves greatly the longer the plants are in one place and left alone.  If you keep splitting them up the flowers are often small and mis-happen, plant it and leave it for 3 years and they start to get really impressive!

There has been a bit of uncertainty about the name but 'Stammerberg' now seems settled upon.  We grew and sold it for many years as 'Stammheim', the name we first got it under.  There are other very similar varieties which probably doesn't help.
