Rarely seen species from China produces long panicles of pale lilac, sweetly scented, flowers in summer. Deciduous and perfectly hardy to 3m. Best in sun or part shade.

Generally similar to the commonly grown Buddleja davidii but with a more elegant habit with longer, narrower leaves and the flower panicles up to 30cm long.

Originally grown from seed collected in Chingqing, China at 1700m.
