An amazing new hybrid Miscanthus with a spreading habit made bearable by the glistening silvery pink drooping flowers in autumn to 1.8m. Probably best in a container.
Likely to be a hybrid between Miscanthus sinensis (tightly clump-forming) and the genuine Miscanthus sacchariflorus (which is rampant). We have grown this in pots since 2012 and it has mesmerised people with the relatively big flower heds with some comparing it to Miscanthus nepalensis and describing it as a silver pink version of that species. Miscanthus 'Rosi' is certainly easier to grow than M. nepalensis!
As yet untested in the ground here but it seems hardy enough in pots.
