A lovely dwarf form with the yellow bands of 'Zebrinus' (zebra grass) on a narrow leafed upright plant. Good heads of pinkish gold flowers in autumn to 1.4m. Good soil in sun.
There are many forms of "zebra grass" now but this is one of the better dwarfer forms with an attractive soft appearance thanks to it's narrow leaves and mass of smallish flower heads.
As with most of the forms of Miscanthus with narrow leaves 'Tiger Cub' is a bit more tolerant of drier soils and drought than the wide leafed tropical look types.
