Possibly the most tropical looking species with broad leaves and strong stems covered in purple spots supporting cream flowers edged purple to 50cm. Drained soil in sun.

Unless you are in a real frost pocket Eucomis bicolor is likely to be the toughest Eucomis so may be the best one to start with. Add a mulch of bark chips or similar to be even more sure if you like!
