Pretty pink flowers on this P. elatior x P juliae hybrid. Showy flat faced flowers held in large heads up to 15cm in late winter and spring. Good soil in light shade.

'David Valentine' makes neat tidy clumps of short stemmed leaves and produces a good display of flowers over an extended season.  If the weather stays cooler and not too dry you can still have odd stems of flowers well into summer.

The flowers are an attractive pink, towards the blue end of the colour.  One parent, the oxslip, Primula elatior has typical pale yellow flowers whillst the other parent Primula juliae, a primrose relative from the eastern Caucasus with bright magenta flowers.
