Mint green leaves with bold silver and burgundy chevrons, the whole leaf will turn bright red with cold weather when grown in sun, retaining the chevron. Good soil in sun or part/light shade. 45cm.
With Persicaria runcinata the leaf is not the usual simple triangle shape, it has lobes along the petiole that join up with the base of the leaf blade itself. Once established the foliage effect of this plant is quite stunning, the smallish heads of white flowers that flush pinkish are quite superfluous!
