A distinct colour break from Coen Jansen in Holland. Low mounds of divided, deep green, leaves studded with masses of bright salmony pink flowers May to September. Drained soil in sun.
A neat and compact plant ideal for the front of the border, edging paths or to grow on larger rockeries and scree beds. Anywhere as long as the soil is drained and it's mostly sunny in fact! Even makes a good plant in a pot.
The bright pink flowers are a unusual shade within Geranium sanguineum and even though 'Ankum's Pride' has been around for a few years now there are no other varieties similar in colour. Hard to describe of course!
Named by Coen Jansen for the village where his nursery is based in 1990. Said to be a seedling from Geranium sanguineum 'Jubilee Pink' which is another bright pink variety but slow growing and very compact.
