A shrubby honeysuckle which makes a dense rounded bush to 1.8m with a good display of creamy flowers in late spring and summer. Red berries. Deciduous, sun or light shade.
A good tough shrub well suited to some of those difficult dry partly shaded sites where not much wants to grow! Our stock grows under a Sorbus (rowan) and the end of a willow windbreak where it gets pretty dry in summer.
Well behaved and can be cut back after flowering if you need to restrict it's size.
Native to much of Europe and Asia, long naturalised in the UK (claimed to be native but technically it's a neophyte).
Potentially invasive in warmer climates like the southern USA - NOT a problem in the UK.
