Japanese Wineberry. Soft green leaves contrast with cinnamon bark and red bristles. Clumps of arching stems with small white flowers and masses of tasty fruit in summer. 1.8m.
Best pruned a bit like a summer raspberry, cut the oldest stems out at ground level in winter to allow the new stems (with their pretty red bristles) space to grow in the new season.
From northern China, Korea and Japan.
