Clumps of delicate arching, narrow, leaves and more upright narrow arching summer flowers to potentially 90cm but often shorter here. Well drained soil in full sun.
The Muhlenbergias are not that well known to gardeners in the UK but they are well worth trying in the warmer parts where they will flower and grow better than they will in colder areas. You will see sizes quoted that are often over-optimistic if my experience is anything to go by, so don't be put off by thinking that Muhlenbergia rigens is going to get to 1.5m or more. Here in Norfolk 45-60cm is typical!
