A surprisingly easy herbaceous species from Iran to China. Perennial clumps produce strong upright stems clad in big pink flowers for most of the summer. Drained soil in sun. 1.2m.

Unlike some other plants from Kashmir we find that this obliging mallow performs well here with no fuss - that doesn't mean it's a weed either! The flowers are a clean silky pink and a good size, the plant lasts well overwinter.

Previously Lavatera cachmiriana, Lavatera now sunk into Malva.
