A superior perennial selection of this European native which makes clumps of small pinnate green leaves and wiry stems topped with multi-headed snow white umbels in summer to 45cm. Ordinary soil in sun.
Sometimes called the Moon Carrot this is actually quite a good common name as it's leaves are rather carroty and its flowers could be imagined as heads of many moons making up the greater flowerhead. An attractive plant for the front of the border.
British and European native but many forms are short lived or biennial. This collection from Bulgaria seems to be thoroughly perennial (3 years flowering from one plant so far) and a much better garden plant.
Sometimes confused in the trade with Cenolophium denudatum - which is quite different!
