Upright spires of blue flowers to 1.2m from midsummer into autumn on this delightful selection of the north American native. Average to good soil in sun. This form close to the usual wild type.

Tightly clump forming and with a fairly upright habit.

The hardy species of Verbena are becoming increasingly popular in traditional and naturalistic gardens for their long season of flowering interest, attractive winter seedheads and great insect attractiveness.  This blue flowered form of Verbena hastata will mix well with many other herbaceous plants and is an effective companion plant for ornamental grasses.

North American native and has a plethora of common names including American Vervain, Blue Vervain and Swamp Verbena.
